Baby snuggles are honestly part of the compensation package around here 🥹🤍

Nothing melts me faster than seeing a little one feel this safe and loved with their teacher.

FYI for families 📚

I love watching babies create their own tiny little world 🥹🤍

A cozy space, a toy truck, a window to look out of, and suddenly they are completely content exploring on their own. Simple play is really the best kind of play.

The curiosity on his face 🥹🤍

Something tells me this little guy is going to grow up wanting to fly planes, build rockets, or figure out how the world works. Tiny humans are born curious, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things to watch.

Cutest tree hugger ever!!!

I used to beat myself up after snapping at my kids because logically… I knew better.

Then I learned this:
Your nervous system reacts before your thinking brain can catch up. When you’re already exhausted or overstimulated, whining, screaming, fighting bedtime, and constant demands can push your body into stress mode fast. THEN your brain tries to catch up 🙃

What changed everything for me was learning to catch the signs earlier. Now when I feel myself escalating I:
• unclench my jaw
• take a longer exhale
• narrate what I’m feeling, “I’m getting overstimulated right now”
• reduce sensory overload if I can, turn off any background noise
• lower my voice and slow my body down

Tiny humans co-regulate with us constantly. They feel our stress before we even say a word.

✨ What’s your first sign that you’re getting overstimulated as a parent?
