Friday, April 3rd at 6:30 pm, join us at Sandburg for glow-in-the-dark activities and social hour! Get your tickets in advance for $4 or $5 at the door.

Sandburg will celebrate our staff the week of March 16th with the overarching theme of “Blossom Where you Teach.” There are daily thoughtful activities or small gifts ideas that students can use to show our Sandburg Staff a little love and support. Keep an eye out for communication from your room parent!

We are excited to announce the return of a favorite community fundraiser - the exciting and much loved - TEACHER’S Drawing (formerly known as the Teacher Raffle)!!

This is a fundraiser aimed at offering kids the opportunity to spend extra quality time with their favorite teachers and staff. The Sandburg Staff is generously donating their time AND these experiences for which the kids can purchase tickets. Each ticket is a chance to “win” these special “experiences” with that staff member. All proceeds will go to support the ‘26/27 PTO Budget, helping to fund paraprofessional staff support and various school equipment purchases/improvements.

Food Drive + Kindness Week! Beginning Monday, February 23rd, let’s enjoy the fun themes and help those in need with shelf-stable food items and high-protein snacks. There will be a box in every kiva to collect food that we will be donating to the Salvation Army. Donate until February 27th. Our goal is to collect 1000 items of food. If we reach our goal the whole school gets a PJ day!

Get ready to shine at Prom Part Deux — Sandburg’s adults-only night of sequins, shenanigans, and serious school spirit! This is your chance to dress up, let loose, and help raise important funds that support our amazing students, teachers, and staff. Your ticket gets you dinner, drinks, and dancing to the best throwback hits from the last few decades spun by DJ Dave Miller! We’ll also have silent and live auctions packed with incredible items, so you can snag something special while giving back.

Feeling bold? Lean into the classics for outfit inspo — think Pretty in Pink, She’s All That, Footloose, or whatever prom-movie magic brings out your inner star. Themed attire is strongly encouraged and absolutely celebrated.

This is a friendly reminder that we will be hosting our Kindergarten Information Night this Thursday at 5:00 PM for all of our future families interested in kindergarten for the 2026-2027 school year.

Families will have the opportunity to hear from our kindergarten teachers and school administration, learn more about our program, and ask questions about the transition to kindergarten at Sandburg.

We encourage you to invite neighbors, friends, and community members who may have an incoming kindergartner to join us and learn more about what makes Sandburg a wonderful place to begin their school experience.
