NRL Colorado

This weekend is the 2026 NRL Nationals in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Hosted by NRL Colorado and Pikes Peak Robotics, this is going to be a great event. The weekend-long competition will feature 3 rounds of Swiss (no eliminations), followed by a double-elimination bracket. We are livestreaming the event and have 2 commentators who have studied past competitions. If you are unable to attend in person, please join us on the livestream!

🤖 Colorado Students Compete in High-Energy Robotics Showdown at Mesa Ridge High School

On Saturday, April 11, NRL Colorado hosted our annual state robotics competition at Mesa Ridge High School in Colorado Springs, bringing together 85 students, 14 teams, and 8 schools from across the state.

Organized by Pikes Peak Robotics and RMTMA, this competition is more than a contest, it's a workforce development initiative that gives students hands-on experience designing, engineering, and building their own combat robots while connecting them with real careers in precision manufacturing.

🏆 Competition Winners:
• Grand Champion ($500 school grant): Chopped Liver — DCSD Legacy Campus
• Battle Champion: Kratos — Weld Central High School
• Best Engineered: Purple Panthers — EPIC Campus
• Crowd Favorite: Magical Space Unicorns — EPIC Campus

"Saturday's event was nothing short of extraordinary for my students," said Marcus A. Diamond, STEM Facilitator at Weld Central High School. "This initiative has truly rekindled my enthusiasm for teaching and is making a meaningful impact on our students and community."
