WE'RE HIRING MUSIC INSTRUCTORS - Help Us Create More Happy Through Music!
Voice, Guitar and/or Piano Instructors
📍 Pickering Academy | Centennial, Colorado
🕒 Part-Time | Weekday Afternoons & Evenings
💵 Starting instructional pay $32.47 per hour
Pickering Academy is growing, and we’re looking for warm, talented, and encouraging music instructors who light up when a student finally plays the song, reaches the note, discovers their confidence—or simply realizes, “Hey… I can do this!”
We’re currently hiring instructors who teach voice, guitar, piano—or an awesome combination of the three. The ability to teach multiple instruments is especially valuable, but what matters most is your ability to connect with students and make learning music feel positive, personal, and genuinely fun.
At Pickering Academy, lessons are about far more than notes, chords, and technique. They’re about helping children, teens, and adults express themselves, build confidence, discover their creativity, and find their happy through music.
What You’ll Do
• Teach fun, engaging, individualized private lessons
• Build meaningful relationships with students through a consistent weekly schedule
• Adapt your teaching to each student’s personality, interests, goals, and learning style
• Help students grow in musical ability, confidence, creativity, and independence
• Prepare interested students for showcases, concerts, and other performance opportunities
• Communicate professionally and positively with students, families, and our administrative team
• Potentially create or teach classes and workshops inspired by your unique experience and interests
You May Be a Great Fit If You…
• Are highly proficient in voice, guitar, piano, or multiple disciplines
• Can read and teach standard music notation
• Have weekday afternoon and evening availability = can also include weekends
• Bring warmth, encouragement, patience, and plenty of personality into the lesson room
• Are dependable, prepared, and communicative
• Genuinely enjoy working with children, teens, and adults
• Live within the Denver metro area
• Have at least one year of teaching experience, preferably
• Are excited to become a consistent part of our community for at least one year
A college degree in music is wonderful—but it isn’t required. We enthusiastically welcome experienced educators, performers, and working musicians who possess strong musical skills and a genuine gift for connecting with students.
