🌿 Please help us welcome Leslee Dirnberger, J.D. to the True Vine Mission Board of Directors! 🌿
God continues to bring the most incredible people alongside True Vine Mission, and we are so grateful to have Leslee joining us on this journey.
Leslee brings an incredible combination of faith, leadership, education, advocacy, and lived experience to our board. She is an Education Innovator, Homeschool Coach, Parental Rights Advocate, Founder of Aspire Education, and—something especially close to our hearts—a Spellers Method Practitioner.
Her passion for empowering families and believing in the potential of every learner aligns so beautifully with what we are building at True Vine Mission.
When asked about joining our board, Leslee shared:
“I am excited to be a part of True Vine Mission where we can all live out 1 Peter 4:10, ‘As every man hath received grace, ministering the same one to another: as good stewards of the manifold grace of God.’ This learning community is truly a gift from God and I am honored to be a part of the journey!”
We believe God is intentionally bringing together people with different gifts, experiences, and areas of expertise to help us build a learning community where nonspeaking and minimally speaking individuals are presumed competent, given meaningful access to education, and empowered to have their voices heard.

Last night we had such an incredibly productive True Vine Mission board meeting, and we walked away feeling more excited than ever about where God is leading us. 💙🌿

I truly cannot say enough about the amazing women who serve on our board. Each one brings different gifts, experiences, ideas, and perspectives to the table, but we are completely united in our mission—to create something extraordinary for nonspeaking, minimally speaking, and unreliably speaking individuals. A place where they are presumed competent at every turn, where communication is honored, and where they are given every opportunity to learn, grow, belong, and thrive.

There is SO much happening behind the scenes right now, and last night was a huge reminder of just how much momentum is building! 🙌

One of our biggest next steps is the upcoming launch of our CAPITAL GIVING CAMPAIGN! We cannot wait to begin sharing the vision, the plans, and the many ways our community can come alongside us to help bring True Vine Mission Academy to life.

And that’s only the beginning. 👀 We have lots of exciting announcements, events, opportunities, and FUN details coming soon, and we seriously cannot wait to start sharing them with all of you!

God has continued to open doors, bring the right people to the table, and remind us why we started this journey in the first place.

Three moms started with a dream for their children. Now we are surrounded by an incredible team helping us build that dream for so many more families.🌿💙

There are moments in life when you know you’re witnessing the faithfulness of God, and today is one of those moments.
With hearts overflowing with gratitude, we are beyond excited to announce that True Vine Mission Academy is officially a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization! 🙌💚
What began as a burden placed on the hearts of three ordinary moms has grown into a mission far bigger than ourselves. We looked at our children—children the world too often underestimated—and we asked, “What if there was a place where they were presumed competent from the moment they walked through the door? What if there was a school built around their God-given potential instead of their perceived limitations?”
That place didn’t exist.
So, with a lot of prayer, countless conversations, sleepless nights, and complete dependence on God, we decided to build it.
True Vine Mission Academy was born from the belief that every nonspeaking and minimally speaking individual is fearfully and wonderfully made, created with purpose, intelligence, and a voice that deserves to be heard. We believe communication is a human right, that every child deserves to be taught with dignity and high expectations, and that miracles happen when we choose faith over fear. This nonprofit status is so much more than paperwork. It is another reminder that when God calls you to something, He faithfully opens doors that no one else can. Every step of this journey has been covered in prayer, and we know without a doubt that His hand has been guiding us from the very beginning.
To every person who has prayed with us, encouraged us, shared our vision, donated, volunteered, or simply believed this dream was possible—thank you. You are part of this story, and we are so grateful.
But this is only the beginning.
Our dream is bigger than a building. Our dream is a generation of nonspeaking communicators who know they are loved, valued, capable, and created in the image of God. A place where they are challenged academically, surrounded by faith, and presumed competent at every turn. A place where families finally feel seen, understood, and filled with hope.
We truly believe the best is yet to come.

To everyone who has supported True Vine thus far, we want to say a HUGE thank you! 💛🌿
We truly believe God has placed this mission on our hearts—to help open doors for nonspeaking and minimally speaking children to communicate, be heard, and share the incredible thoughts, gifts, and voices God has placed within them.
We are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to build a school where every student is presumed competent, treated with dignity, challenged academically, and given meaningful opportunities to express themselves. Our prayer is that True Vine will be a place where communication barriers are broken down, voices are freed, and our students are empowered to show the world just how much they have to say.

We’re thrilled to welcome Esther Peterson to the True Vine Mission Academy team! 🙏
Esther brings a wealth of professional expertise as Director of Finance at Stonebriar Community Church (since January 2023). With a strong background in financial leadership—including her role as Director of Finance at Stonebriar and as Audit Manager at AFairchild, CPA—she holds a degree from the University of North Texas. Her proven track record in accounting, auditing, and faithful stewardship of resources makes her an incredible asset.
Esther has generously stepped forward as our new Treasurer. Her deep knowledge, wisdom, and heart for service are already blessing our academy as we steward every resource to empower voices and unlock God-given potential in our students.
Esther shared:
“I’m excited and thankful for the opportunity to serve with a nonprofit carrying out Proverbs 31:8-9 so beautifully - not just speaking out on behalf of the voiceless, but giving them a voice! I cannot wait to see how God blesses others through this wonderful organization.”

🌟 Grateful Update from True Vine Mission Academy 🌟
Today our Board had the joy of meeting with Dr. Melillo and his team to share our mission and vision for True Vine Mission Academy. We are incredibly encouraged by their genuine excitement and wholehearted support!
They spent valuable time brainstorming meaningful ways to partner with us, including exploring the possibility of an onsite neurological clinic that would beautifully complement our whole-body approach and age-appropriate curriculum. This kind of collaborative vision could make a powerful difference for the children and families we serve as well as the north Dallas community as a whole.
We are so thankful for Dr. Melillo’s time, encouragement, and expertise. Your passion for neurological health and holistic care aligns perfectly with our heart to nurture mind, body, and spirit.
Thank you, Dr. Melillo and team! We look forward to what God has in store as we move forward together. 💛

Grateful hearts overflowing!
What a powerful and encouraging meeting with Pastor Joseph (Joe) Infranco, the author of Decoding Cody! We shared the heart and vision for The True Vine Mission Academy — bringing age-appropriate content, spiritual mentorship, and full-circle care to children and youth, all the way into adulthood, through our beautiful partnership with Cornerstone.
Pastor Joe was genuinely excited about what God is doing and offered to support us in any way we can envision. We’re especially thankful for his time, his belief in this mission, and the powerful prayer he lifted over us.
We left feeling expectant and excited for everything ahead — with wonderful ideas already stirring, including book-related events and fundraisers on the horizon as we champion and support one another in this Kingdom work.
As prayed over us:
“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”
— Ephesians 3:20

Today we had the incredible honor of meeting best-selling author Tahni Cullen, the writer of Josiah’s Fire—truly one of the most powerful and inspiring books I’ve ever read. It is an absolute must-read.
Gail and I were completely starstruck—we love this book so much and it has meant so much to our journey. But beyond that, Tahni was warm, encouraging, and incredibly generous with her wisdom. She poured into us with insight and guidance that we will carry forward as we continue building True Vine Mission Academy.
We are especially excited to incorporate her Bible study lessons into our program, knowing they will deeply impact the hearts and minds of our students.
God continues to align the right people at the right time, and we are so grateful.

There is no doubt in our minds… God is MOVING MOUNTAINS for True Vine Mission Academy. 🙌✨
As we gathered for dinner, we were overwhelmed by His faithfulness. He is aligning every detail—bringing the most qualified, passionate, and purpose-driven people to walk alongside us in this mission. It’s not by chance… it’s by His perfect design.
We are witnessing doors open, connections form, and provision come in ways we couldn’t have imagined. God is even stirring the hearts of donors who believe in this vision and are helping bring this school to life.
This is so much bigger than us. This is about creating a place where non-speakers are finally seen, valued, and given the opportunity to have their voices FREED.
What is happening right now is nothing short of extraordinary… and we know this is only the beginning. We cannot wait to see what He does next.
