At the June 22 Regular Board Meeting, the CISD Board of Trustees approved the District’s compensation plan and budget for the 2025-2026 school year. Within this budget, the Board approved compensation that honors the legislative directive for increased salaries for teaching staff with three years or more. Additionally, the Board also took action to provide salary increases for all other staff not covered by the State’s legislative compensation, including first-year teachers, teachers with one and two-year’s experience, and other non-teaching staff, all of whom play an integral role in the success of our students.

The Board’s compensation plan provides for:
• $58,800 salary for first-year teachers ($60,800 with a Masters)
• $2,300 + step increase for teachers with 1-2 years of experience (4% increase);
• $2,500 + step increase for teachers with 3-4 years of experience (over a 4% increase);
• 5+ years: $5,000 + step increase for teachers with 5 years or more experience (ranges between a 6.5-8.5% increase);
• All auxiliary (hourly) support staff will receive a 6% raise at the midpoint;
• All other non-teaching staff will receive a 4% raise at the midpoint.
