🌞Summer Reading Camp with Mrs. Barnes!
I am starting to plan my Summer Reading Camp again! We had so much fun learning last summer!
🍎Designed to help struggling readers currently in Kindergarten through 5th grade.
🍎I am a Texas Certified Special Education Teacher with 18 years of experience. I taught for 16 years in the public school system and 2 years as a private reading/writing tutor and special education advocate.
🍎We will be working on decoding, encoding (spelling), reading comprehension, and writing. I teach using a multisensory approach focusing on the 6 syllable types. I'll also sprinkle in some fun movement times, art activities, and games. We had some pretty exciting UNO games last summer!
🍎Located in Light Farms.
🍎$300 per weekly session
🍎Morning or Afternoon times are available.
🍎Monday-Friday
🍎There will be 6 students per group. Small group learning equals more progress!
🍏Dates available:
Week 1: July 21st-25th or Week 2: July 28th-August 1st
🍏Times Available:
Morning 9:00-12:00 or Afternoon 1:00-4:00

Book Launch! I have always been asked by parents how they can help their child at home become better readers. I have written this book to do just that! It is a teaching guide and children's book all in one. There are guiding questions on each page and teaching tips to help you enhance story time with your child. This will add some learning to the fun!

I am hosting a Summer Reading Camp for struggling readers in July. I am a Texas Certified Special Education teacher with 17 years experience.
I have limited spots available to keep my groups small in order to optimize student growth and success.
This is for elementary students that are struggling with grade level concepts in reading. The program dates and sessions have evolved since my last post a couple weeks ago based on parent feedback.
