The National League of Junior Cotillions, Polk County Chapter held their annual Grand Spring Ball on Saturday, March 26th at the Cherokee Golf & Country Club. The Grand Spring Ball gave these Cotillion members the opportunity to put into practice all the dances and etiquette that they learned during the year in Cotillion Classes. Year I & II students danced the night away doing the foxtrot , cha cha cha, shag/swing, waltz and the electric slide.

We are very proud of all the Year I & II students. Congratulations!

Special Thanks to our Student Assistants who take care of details which are part of every event. They set an example of correct behavior and graciously interact with Cotillion members. We all had a wonderful time at the Grand Spring Ball.

The National League of Junior Cotillions, Polk County Chapter held its annual Holly Ball on Saturday, December 18th at the Cherokee Golf & Country Club. Dressed semi-formally the fifth through eighth grade students participated in the elegant evening, complete with dance cards, contests, prizes, corsages and boutonnieres. The Holly Ball gave these Cotillion students the opportunity to put into practice all the dances and etiquette that they learned during the past half year in Cotillion classes.

Entering into the spirit of the party is a topic that Junior Cotillion students learn within their first class. This helps set the posture for classes and balls not only for the entire season, but also sets the precedent for how students should always behave at all parties and events.

We have all been at gatherings with guest who are actively insinuating, both in verbal and nonverbal capacities, their distaste for being at a particular event.
