What an incredible inaugural season for our very first High School Girls’ Flag Football team!

A Historic First Season! 🏈
Huge congratulations to our Girls’ Flag Football team on wrapping up their very first season!

This club was made possible thanks to incoming senior Macy DeRosa, who spearheaded the effort and partnered with Athletic Director Jon Hannam to turn her dream into a reality for our school. Guided by teachers and coaches Matt McDonnell and Nick Bimmel, our athletes had an unforgettable inaugural year.

A special thank you to Macy, Mr. Hannam, Coaches McDonnell and Bimmel, and Superintendent Clark for their support, vision, and leadership in launching this program. We can’t wait to see this program continue to grow! 🌟

Marissa Brophy and Archie Bloomquist won the Exemplary Performance Recognition Project, which expands recognition of outstanding student performers at the WSMA State Solo & Ensemble Festival!

Additionally, Marissa Jacoby was also nominated for the award!

State festival adjudicators identify exceptional performances at each of the state festival campuses through a two step process: nomination and final selection. Step 1. Nomination Throughout the day, adjudicators have an opportunity to nominate students whose performance was truly exceptional – beyond what is typically expected for this age group. Step 2. Final Selection At the end of the day, each adjudicator selects the most exceptional performances to receive the Exemplary Performance Award from among those nominated.
