When we started Happy Place we knew we would find people to join the team but we never imagined how absolutely magical it is having these wonderful, creative, uplifting, friendly people work with us every day. They truly make Happy Place a happy place. We appreciate and love this team so much, and feel incredibly lucky to have them here! It is simply a dream come true (except the real thing is better than the dream!!)

You’ll get to see all these faces this summer!! We cannot wait for camps to start and we are starting off feeling refreshed and ready. See you soon!!

Sally and I (Lauren) stopped by to share all about this fine art form: The Snacky Lunch! Saving parents time and energy for [endlessly] hungry children (and friends of children!), the snacky lunch is IT. Lean into the idea that KIDS LOVE SNACKS. Use up things in your fridge and pantry. Create a plate full of nourishing bites that kids want to eat, can eat outside, ANY TIME of the day!, and appeals to a variety of preferences. Do we do this ourselves?! YES. DAILY.

Before we had a big team at Happy Place there were just the three of us! Today, we brought back the OG team to paint some walls. Out with the white!!! Stay tuned for a very colorful reveal coming soon! 👀

Summer preparations underway at the kitchen this week! We are getting this dishwasher installed (finally!!!) and painting and cleaning and doing allllll the things to get ready to welcome in all the campers!

We can’t wait for camps to begin, just under 2 weeks from today! 🥳🥳

We are incredibly honored to share that Happy Place recently received a generous grant from . We never take for granted the trust our community places in us, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to turn this support into meaningful impact.

Because of this gift, we’ll be able to create more space in our support programs this fall and make important accessibility improvements to our website, helping more people connect with and participate in everything Happy Place has to offer.

Today, our directors and lead teaching staff were trained and certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED. Thank you to our trainer, Rhonda, for her time and dedication to training others in these life-saving techniques.
