Spaces Between is a solo show currently on display at Hudson Gallery in Sylvania, OH.It features my most recent body of painted work. Intrigued by layers in the passage of time, Royce Deans' paintings explore the spaces between forms found in nature with deep dives into layers of color and texture. A meditative quality is created through thoughtful arrangement of his subjects yet a gentle tension exists giving us the warmth and closeness of touch/not touch sensations....

I am happy to announce that beginning October 22nd, Angela Saxon and myself will be guests of The Miller Beach Arts and Creative District at The Marshal J. Gardner Center for the Arts in Gary Indiana. We will be participating in a printmaking residency with open studio hours.I will be working on a series of prints that will build on the ideas that I have been working with in my recent paintings and recent monotypes. ...
