Dear Cedar View Families,
We want to again share with you our drop off and pick up procedures at Cedar View. Our goals are to make the parking lot safer for our students and more efficient for parents, ending the bottleneck that spills onto Red Hawk Drive.
We will be utilizing the entire fire lane loop, along with the new entrance drive creating a one way traffic flow. Students will be instructed to wait for parents in the designated areas in front of the gymnasium. As you pick up or drop off we ask you to follow the loop around to create the one way flow. Please continue to pull all the way forward as cars leave, your student will come to you. For safety reasons we do not allow students to be dropped off or picked up at the back of the building.
To help with student safety, our staff will be at the sidewalk at the north end of the building to assist students safely across the parking lot if you have parked to wait for your child. If you are a visual learner like me, please reference the graphic attached to this message.
We know drop off and pick up will never be perfect, but we are trying to protect students and your efficiency for drop offs and pick ups. Please bear with us the first few weeks as everyone learns this new procedure.
A couple things to make this go smoother:
1 - multiple students/multiple buildings, have the older ones walk to the building of the youngest for pickup.
2 - Enter/exit from high school entrance if only coming to Cedar View
