Prairie View-Ms. Hawes's 1st Grade

We did quite a few fun things on our last day today. We ended the morning with shaving cream fun on our desks. I hope everyone has a fantastic summer!

We got to hear two reader's theater performances this morning. Both groups did great!

We had a gorgeous day to eat lunch outside and enjoy popsicles. The whole school also enjoyed hanging out with their buddy classes on the playground this afternoon!

The Kernals baseball players visited us this morning. We learned all about the summer reading program. There are lots of fun prizes kids can earn if they read and fill out the sheet that will go home tomorrow.

I cannot believe we are down to the last 10 days of the school year. The balloon countdown is up, and we will have a fun surprise each day until we have to say good bye to 1st grade.

Today we had a retirement/10th birthday party for our school dog, Marley. She will be missed next year!

We had a great time on our field trip to the nature center yesterday!

Mrs. Neira came for one last lesson on Tuesday and did a fun teamwork activity. Five of our students were taped together and had to work together to get from one line to another. They did great!

I can't remember the last time we have had indoor recess. The kids were happy to play inside when it rained this afternoon.

We had a busy and fun Valentine's party. Thank you to everyone who brought treats!
