Today, we are thrilled to celebrate an incredible achievement for the John F. Kennedy High School Wind Symphony.

Congratulations to the JFK Wind Symphony on being selected to perform at the 2027 Music for All National Festival as part of the prestigious Concert Band Festival. This invitation is one of the highest honors a high school concert band can receive and reflects the exceptional talent, dedication, and countless hours of work put forth by these outstanding student musicians.

A special congratulations also goes to our Band Directors, Mrs. Stephanie Williamson and Ms. Lesley Fleer, whose leadership, passion, and commitment to excellence have helped guide this ensemble to the national stage. We are incredibly proud of everything they and these students have accomplished.

Congratulations to all of the students, directors, families, and supporters who made this achievement possible. Thank you for representing John F. Kennedy High School with such excellence, we can’t wait to cheer you on in Indianapolis next spring!

Deja Brew at the Pines Pizza and Pub on 42nd Street is hosting a fundraiser for the Kennedy Band program! Every drink they sell from now until August 18th will give the program $1.00. Great way to support a new, local owned business AND the Kennedy Band program! Tell your barista when you order that “You’re with the Band!” Thanks for the support!

Another JFK Jazz Camp is in the books! Proud of their work this week!

Tonight’s Jazz Camp “informance” is on the JFK Patio. Please bring a lawn chair, a cooler with snacks and drinks, and whatever you need to enjoy the work of our awesome kids and this BEAUTIFUL weather! We start at 7:00pm!

2 weeks from Band Camp! A reminder to all our students to spend some time outside, do something physically active, re-acclimate your body to heat and sweat. Of course wear sunscreen and drink plenty of water! See you soon!
