Join us for a week of creativity, exploration, and fun at Orchestra Iowa's ART Summer Camp!

Campers will engage with the arts through hands-on experiences, creative projects, and visits to some of Cedar Rapids' most inspiring cultural destinations. It's a great opportunity for students to explore their creativity, connect with their community, and make new friends along the way.

Did your student just finish their first year of orchestra? Then Stringapalooza is the perfect next step!

Join fellow young musicians for a fun-filled camp designed to help students refine their skills, build confidence, and make music alongside professional musicians and other students who share their passion for strings. 🎶

Whether they play violin, viola, cello, or bass, Stringapalooza is a chance to grow musically, make new friends, and keep the excitement of music going all summer long!

✨ Open to students entering grades 4–7 who have completed their first year of strings instruction.

About Music Together:
Music Together® provides developmentally appropriate music and movement instruction to children from birth to 5 years old with their parents or caregivers. The Music Together® approach encourages early child development, understanding and response through direct musical experiences.

Introducing "Yes, And...You, Too!" A new improv class for kids and their adult caregivers.

This class takes principles of improvised comedy, such as spontaneity, letting go of judgment, trust, and the famous “yes, and,” and presents them to children and their caregivers through games and activities. During the 90-minute class, students are coached in activities to break down walls of self-judgment or fear and help them connect with their inner sense of play.

Participants discover new ways to build connection between generations and learn activities that are fun to play and easy to take home, with no equipment required.

Calling all String Students! Join us this summer at Camp Cadence.

This program, a partnership between Orchestra Iowa, Schultz Strings, and Cadence Chamber Music, is designed for middle and high school string students at Suzuki Book 4 or the equivalent and higher. In addition to daily coaching from our world-class faculty, students will participate in master classes and guest presentations on various music industry topics.

Spring semester for the Orchestra Iowa School Youth Choruses starts at the end of January! 🎶 Students in grades K–3 are invited to jump in and participate in our first rehearsal of the semester. Come try it out—if your child loves it, we’ll help you get registered!
