The TLS School Office is CLOSED this week, June 8-12. The office will reopen on Monday, June 15 at 8:00 am.

Why do doctors spend their time in hospitals? Because that's where the sick people are.

In today's Gospel, Jesus calls Matthew, a tax collector. Matthew was despised by many. Tax collectors were known for abusing the system, overcharging others, and enriching themselves at their neighbors' expense. Yet when Jesus passed by, He simply said, "Follow Me." And Matthew did.

The Pharisees couldn't understand why Jesus would spend time with tax collectors and sinners. But Jesus answered, "Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick."

Jesus didn't come for the self-righteous. He came to seek and save sinners. He came for Matthew. He came for the people gathered around Matthew's table. He came for us.

Like patients in a hospital, we all suffer from the same deadly disease—sin. We cannot heal ourselves. But Christ, the Great Physician, came to bring forgiveness, life, and salvation through His death and resurrection.

The good news is that Jesus still calls sinners to Himself. He calls us out of our old life and into a new life of faith, forgiveness, and discipleship. No one is beyond His mercy.

Reminder - the TLS School office is closed on Fridays. The office will remain closed all of next week due to staff being away at a conference and vacations.

The office will reopen on Monday, June 15 at 8:00 am.

TLS is offering FREE breakfasts and lunches this summer! All children under 18 years of age can eat free of charge. An adult guardian must accompany children.

The OLD TLS playground is slowly coming down. We are still receiving donations for our Playground Make-Over and are very appreciative! The school has raised just under $90,000 and we will be utilizing school endowment funding designated for grounds and facility updates. Our playground has been in dire need for many years and this summer we are making the updates!

In the next few weeks we will have new cement poured, new Astro turf installed, and more. We will continue to post updates. We appreciate all our summer kiddos being curious and patient as they wait for the new playground equipment.

Happy Memorial Day! We remember those who served our country and thankful our TLS Choir was invited to sing the National Anthem at the Kernel's this spring. The anthem is story of soldiers enduring battle on our behalf and for our freedoms and it's set to beautiful music.
