Because of weather, the Junior High Chorus' trip to sing at Adventureland was postponed till just after school was out. They performed several of their songs and then spent the rest of the day enjoying the park!

Mrs. Ulmer's feedback was, "It was SO MUCH FUN! A perfect climax to a fantastic year singing and learning together! My favorite moment was hearing them sing “Unashamed”- proclaiming the gospel for all to hear! Bonus blessing-school is out for us and several CVCS elementary school families were there too-we just loved running into one another so unexpectedly!"

What a fantastic way to kick off the summer!🎉

Every single year on the last day of school, we gather together as a whole-school family one last time.

And the last part of that gathering is always a time of prayer for our seniors.

May they go forward as disciples of Christ who faithfully go and make disciples wherever He calls them. We're so excited to watch how God will use them. ❤️

Yesterday was our annual Pie Fight, and it delivered once again. 🥧🎉

Reddi-wip was flying, students were battling for victory, and a champion was crowned—all leading up to the crowd-favorite finale: students swarming Mr. Foote with bonus "pies," just for him. 😉

One of our favorite end-of-year traditions and a sure sign that summer is almost here!

Earlier in May, the 3rd grade had the opportunity to put classroom learning into practice with a trip to Cedar Rapids Bowling Center, to practice force and motion!

They even got a special treat to see behind-the-scenes of how the physics of the machines work. What a wonderful (and super fun) way to learn !🎳

It's the last week of school, and the field trips are in full swing! 🎉

Last week, the second and fourth graders had a fun field trip to the Iowa Raptor Project! What a wonderful way to learn about some of God's most impressive, feathered creatures. 🦉

Last Friday, our sixth graders had their "Sixth Grade Promotion."

This day is filled with fun... And this year it included a Mario Cart Madness bracket (1v1... including Mrs. Baugh ;)), a glow in the dark classroom, pizza, awards and recognitions, and a trip to AirFX! What a fun way to wrap up a milestone year for our students.💙

Last week, some of our 7th and 8th graders had a fun time at their Sunset Luau Dance! 🌴🌺

Earlier this week, our high schoolers headed to Maquoketa Caves for their "fun day" at the end of the school year.

What a wonderful time of friendship building, memory making, and cave exploring! 👏

Last night was our Kaleidoscope Concert featuring our middle school and Concert Choir vocalists!

As always, it was such a sweet way to close out the year—enjoying music from different genres, styles, and eras, recognizing the accomplishments of our Concert Choir students, and celebrating our seniors.

We are so thankful for Mrs. Ulmer and the dedication, talent, and care she pours into these students year after year. This year-end concert always offers such a sweet glimpse into the deep love and care she has for each student—and the incredibly fun time they all have together. 😉🎉
