CVCS provides the standard classroom supplies for our students, allowing families to focus on what matters most as the school year begins.

What does it look like to teach every subject through the lens of God's truth?

Last week, nearly all of our Cedar Valley Christian School teachers and staff traveled to Des Moines for Biblical Immersion Training hosted by Summit Ministries and the Herzog Foundation.

Throughout the training, our team was challenged to move beyond simply integrating the Bible into lessons and instead immersing every lesson, every conversation, and every school day in the truth of God's Word.

Because at CVCS, our goal isn't just to help students know more—it's to help them know Christ more deeply and learn to see every part of life through a biblical worldview.

We're grateful to Grand View Christian School for their hospitality and to Summit Ministries and the Herzog Foundation for investing in our staff as we continue our mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ.

Students entering 5th-12th grade are invited to join us for optional summer group runs! Whether you're getting ready for cross country, conditioning for another sport, or just looking to stay active, we'd love to have you.

Back in May, our 7th and 8th graders headed out for a "Geography Hunt" around Cedar Rapids, finding places and completing challenges in an effort to score the most points.

It was a fun morning filled with laugher and adventure as they explored, competed, and discovered hidden Cedar Rapids gems. 📸🎉😉

Congratulations to Landon Conn on being named First Team Academic All-State in Class 1A Soccer! This honor recognizes student-athletes who excel in the classroom while competing at a high level in their sport.

We are thankful for the way Landon has used his talents, worked diligently, and represented our school with integrity. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

Thank you so much to the City of Fairfax Fire Department, the Cedar Rapids Police Department, and the many CVCS families who showed up for Charlie and the Howard family during Sunday's Drive-By Parade as they prepare for the journey to Mayo Clinic.

Following the parade, families and staff gathered together to pray for the Howard family. It is our shared hope in the Lord that strengthens our community and gives us confidence that, even in the midst of uncertainty, God remains faithful.

Howard family, we love you and are praying for you every step of the way. ❤️

It's summer, but our teachers are still hard at work!!

Several of our elementary teachers headed to Texas this past week for a training. In some of their downtime, they explored the city in a fun and unique way and got featured on the news! 🎉👏

Because of weather, the Junior High Chorus' trip to sing at Adventureland was postponed till just after school was out. They performed several of their songs and then spent the rest of the day enjoying the park!

Mrs. Ulmer's feedback was, "It was SO MUCH FUN! A perfect climax to a fantastic year singing and learning together! My favorite moment was hearing them sing “Unashamed”- proclaiming the gospel for all to hear! Bonus blessing-school is out for us and several CVCS elementary school families were there too-we just loved running into one another so unexpectedly!"

What a fantastic way to kick off the summer!🎉
