Pay day doesn’t always happen on Friday with this writing letters.

But no matter what day it happens it always feels like Christmas!

Well with lack of motivation and not a lot of sunlight these days it is time to pull out the red light therapy.

Plus it feels good to be warm. Don’t mind if I sit and drink a little coffee and feel the warm on my face. 🔥

Why do I find motivation so hard when it is cold out? I wish I could find my motivation these days.

I sit and accuse myself of being lazy!

As I sit for a minute or two to catch my breath looking at my phone a voice in my head tells me I am being lazy.

I have so much stuff to do. I need to be getting it done. Meanwhile, my husband is sitting as well with what seems no guilt at all.

So my question is why is it women are accused of being lazy if they are not running around doing stuff all the time. While men put in an 8 hour or more day and feel they earned the right to come home and put their feet up?

This question has haunted me for years. We sit here and scream women’s rights. Yet this stigma is still something that happens a lot.

Most women now a days have a full time job. We go to work and are still expected to come home and make a meal. Do the dishes, clean the house do the laundry. The list goes on and on. Now this is nothing anyone has said to me that I need to do but I feel this all the time.
So why do we put that kind of pressure on ourselves? Why does the voice in our head say these things?

Just. Food for thought. No wrong answer.

Think real hard about this one! 💯🥰

Being disciplined is hard.
Being consistent is hard.
Being motivated is hard.

You know what's also hard?

Not getting up off the couch.
Not getting up out of bed.
Not listening to constructive criticism.

Pick your hard.

One leads to success and the other leads no where.

This is something that is super hard to learn. But once you get it you can’t forget it.

Let them!

This is something that took me a very long time to learn. I used to tolerate a lot because I didn't want to lose people. But I learned the hard way if they were really my people they would never treat me like that. Don't make the mistake of being so understanding and forgiving that you overlook the fact that you're being repeatedly disrespected.

Let them be upset.
Let them judge you.
Let them misunderstand you.
Let them gossip about you,
Let them ignore you.
Let them be "right."
Let them doubt you.
Let them not like you.
Let them not speak to you.
Let them run your name in the ground.
Let them make you out to be the villain.
Whatever it is that people want to say about you, let them!
Kindly step aside and LET THEM.

The hard truth is they know how much they are hurting you. And they just simply don't care. They did it knowing it could cause them to lose you. And they did it anyway. People that love you care about how they make you feel. The end. Let them go.

There will be people that would rather lose you than be honest about what they've done to you. Let them go.

The lack of respect was the closure. The lack of apology was the closure. The lack of care was the closure. The lack of acountability was the closure. The lack of honestly was the closure. Let them go.

Make the decision to no longer sit at tables where you might be the topic when you get up. Let them go.

You can still be kind. You can even still love them deeply. But do it from the distance they created in their words and actions. Access to you is a privilege they have proven they can’t be trusted with. Let them go.

You don’t need to tell your side of the story. God already knows. Let God fight the battle for you. Let them go.

It’s taken me a long time to get here. Sleepless nights, countless tears, managing a range of emotions filled with anger, disappointment, confusion and deep hurt. Lots of self reflection, self preservation, deep prayer and seeking wisdom from those much wiser than me.

If you are struggling with this please know you are not alone. We will never understand why hurt people hurt people. But we can do the hard work to grow ourselves. Because healed people do in fact heal people.

Don’t you dare let them steal your joy.
Don’t you dare let them steal your light.
Don’t you dare let them steal your peace.
You are in control of that.

Hold tight to what you can control and release your grip on what you can’t control.

Let them go.

Today I am on the struggle. Second day of the year. So many blank pages to come so many decisions to be made.

Feeling unguided and a little lost this year so far. I know it will come but have I said I am just not patient?

The struggle is real.

2024 was crazy and very trying for this mother! 2023 was out first Christmas with out Tyler. We moved him to Arizona in December and he was not able to come home for the holidays. Trever moved to online school so he could then go to Arizona with his boss in February and March. Trever worked hard and had all his classes done before he even left. Jody and I decided to make a quick trip down to see the boys and get to see a little of Arizona. I was already experiancing the whole empty nest feelings at this point. We then finished up our last season of High School Rodeo and then had Graduation. Tyler was at least able to come home and see his bother walk across the stage to get his diploma. Trever graduated in May and by end of June he was fully moved out of the house to start his adult life and take on new adventures. Tyler is now in Minnesota working for the same people. Trever and Tyler both got their Pro Rodeo cards and did some roping in the professional world. They both did great. In July my husband thought he had a new job which would be moving us to Texas however things that happened out of our control the job fell through. In February I purchased a young unbroke gelding and worked with him all summer to get him riding to have him buck me off the end of September when the ground was like a rock and give me the largest hematoma on my rear. Still healing from that and the gelding is now with Trever continuing his training. Glad to have kids that can help a mother out. So to say I am over the bumpy ride of 2024 is an understatement. Here is to Great things in 2025!
