Kenwood Leadership Academy serves over 460 children in Pre-Kindergarten through Fifth grade. KLA is a magnet school which is part of the Cedar Rapids Community School District and is located in the Northeast quadrant of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.KLA serves students from all over the Cedar Rapids community. The goal of the KLA social media page is to share important news and celebrate the achievements of our students and staff with the community, fostering an open and respectful dialogue. To maintain a positive environment, please adhere to these guidelines. PTA Family Game Night will take place on Friday, October 9th, from 5:30-7:30pm in the gym.
Bring your favorite board games and card games to play and connect with other families!
PTA will also be hosting trivia that evening, with prizes!
Cash or Venmo will be accepted at concessions.
Families can also enter a drawing to receive a 4-pack of family passes to our spring carnival!

Did you know that our fundraiser helps support the carnival? All profits we receive will go directly back into our KLA community. As of this morning, we have sold $736. Way to go! Our goal is to sell $20,000. We have a little over 9 days left to reach this goal! Keep up the good work!

Here are some pictures from our kindergarten Healthy Habits unit for science. We talked about what we do or touch that we could get germs from, and colored on gloves to represent germs. After we talked about how washing our hands gets rid of the germs and helps us stay healthy, we used soapy water and sponges to wash the "germs" off our gloves!
