Save the date! All of our families, but especially those with a Kindergartener or new student, are invited to ride the bus from Prairie Hill to their home bus stop (and back to school if you would like) on the evening of August 19. Great Start Conferences will be scheduled for August 19 and 20, so feel free to coordinate these events.

Just a reminder that our students will have access to MyPath for about 2 more weeks. This is a great way to keep those math skills sharp over the summer! If you have any trouble logging in, please contact Ms. Hanzlik at [email protected].

If your child has a computer or tablet available at home, our students have access to their iReady MyPath until July 23! These are math lessons tailored specifically to your child, and new lessons are updated based on their performance. Students will continue to work on MyPath lessons here at school until the end of the year, and this would be a great way to keep math skills sharp over the summer. Check it out! We hope your kids have found some great books this summer! 📙Remember that all Prairie families can go to Prairie Heights to check out books every Tuesday from 9:00-3:00 this summer, and we have many wonderful public libraries in our area. Reading in the summer is shown to have huge effects on students' reading when they return to school in the fall. Then keep track of your reading for our Prairie Elementary Summer Reading Challenge and earn a sweet treat in the fall. Happy reading!

Keep your child reading all summer long by participating in the Prairie Elementary Summer Reading Challenge! Students are encouraged to read books they enjoy throughout the summer and track their reading minutes. Whether they're reading independently, listening to audiobooks, or enjoying books with family members, every minute spent reading helps build literacy skills and fosters a lifelong love of reading.

Students who participate in the challenge will have the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments when school begins in the fall. We hope you'll encourage your child to make reading a part of their summer routine and explore new genres, authors, and topics that spark their curiosity.

Another last day of school is in the books, and what a day is was! From spending time with our friends to showing off some new skills that we've learned, we made memories. And, as always, we laughed and cried and high-fived through our annual 4th Grade Clap Out. 4th Graders, go do great things, and know that you will always be a part of the Prairie Hill family!
