Our final class trip was to Omaha Nebraska to visit Lauritzen Gardens-Omaha Botanical Center, followed by dinner at Tish's resturaunt in Council Bluffs,Iowa. The following morning we were off to the Henry Doorly Zoo, then exploring the Old Market area of Omaha with dinner at Spaghetti Works. Sadly, this is our last post as the students have graduated and our program has been dropped. Please share and copy photos as the page will be taken down in a few weeks. Thank you all for your support and likes!š

These are the words I shared with my students at the end of our last design show. We did a floral tree as a group and everyone said a few words. Enjoy! Lora Dodd-Brosseau š¹
First gals, this tree represents you and your family. The roots are your parents. You were given life and grew from the roots.
Next you are the trunk and branches of this tree. Some people will come into your life and blow your branches and challenge you to break, donāt break⦠just bend.
Others will come and go from your life like seasons. Embrace the ones who are like a soft spring rain for they will nourish your soul as I hope I have done with a sprinkle of support, wisdom, and kindness. The summer sunshine people will be your inspiration to grow even more in your journey through life.
Autumn season people will share with you a colorful life full of bountiful harvest but watch out for the winter people who are bitter and cold for these people will want you to wither. Keep the flowers and get rid of the weeds! The flowers in your life will be your soul crying out for a chance to express your creativity through the medium of floral design.
Let your roots grow strong as you create the world that is still to be seeded and sowed for you are the next generation of florist!!!
