Happy Snow Day MMU Students! Check out the fun activities happening this afternoon:

Prize Drawing: Put your name in the prize box at Information Desk to win a gift card to either Wal-Mart, Granite City or Fandango. A name will be pulled at 1pm, 2pm, and 3pm- you must be present in the UC Commons to win. After each drawing, the box will be emptied to start over for the next hour’s prize drawing.

Pool or Ping Pong Tournament: Sign up at the Information Desk to be put on the tournament bracket- The tournament begins at 2pm!

Trivial Pursuit Competition: Get a group of friends (no more than 5) together in a team and sign up to play at Information Desk this afternoon. We will begin the game at 6pm in the UC Commons- the winning team will receive gift cards to Wehrenberg Theaters!

Come check out the Study Abroad Fair TODAY from 3-5pm in the UC Commons to discover all the places your suitcase can take you!

Study Abroad Fair--The Study Abroad Fair will promote all of the Mount Mercy study abroad opportunities, which will include two January-term trips and programs at our three partner universities; scholarship opportunities; and reps from six outside organizations including Peace Corps, Mercy Corps, CIMBA, and AIFS, offering study, volunteer, and internship opportunities in dozens of countries. Looks like snowmen in Lower Campus are becoming topsy turvy today! This photo is the first to come in for the Snow Day Photo Competition- keep them coming MMU students!

Have you seen the signs on your floor for the Snow Day Photo Competition yet? When you head outside today, take a picture of what you see and send it to [email protected] to be entered. There are 2 categories:Most Beautiful Snow Day Picture and Best Snow Day Activity. Stay tuned to Ditch all day today as we post some of the pictures that are submitted!

Happy Snow Day Mount Mercy students! If you are on campus and looking for something to do, stop by the University Center Commons for crafts, movies, board games and hot chocolate!

The Lundy Fitness Center is open noon-11pm, the Library is open until midnight, and the Dining Hall will be open during regular hours for lunch and dinner.

And they are off! The chili is being made as we speak, come to the dining room at 6pm to taste test he chili. A prize will be given to the chili that receives the most votes from student taste testers!

Yippee Ka-Yay Mount Mercy Students! Today is Western Day! Join your fellow cowboys and cowgirls in the University Center Commons for mechanical bull riding 2-6pm and Line Dancing starting at 4:30pm. While you are at dinner, take part in the Chili Cook-Off by taste testing the team’s chili creations at 6pm. Yeehaw!

Reminder: If you would like to participate in the Chili Cook Off this year, the deadline to sign your team up is 4:30pm today (Thursday 1/10/13). Don't miss this chance to be apart of one of the events for Western Night and to win a $100 Visa gift card!
