Hawkeye Downs where the good times roll. Today's endurance challenge was another big win for our team.
Our 409 car placed 1st out of 12 cars with 78 laps. Setting a new track record.
400 placed 3rd in the AGM class.
405 finished 3rd with 65 laps.
We replaced 3 tires after the event to be ready for tomorrow morning.

Join us this Saturday at Hawkeye Downs and again on Sunday at Prairie Point to see these cars in action. Heats begin at 10 and noon each day. These events are open to the public and free of charge.

To finish off the 2026 CUSA racing season the Prairie High School electric car team had a Astonishing end to the season, taking home 13 trophies and some happy drivers. Here are the highlights of tonight's racing event.
Priaire had the top 5 cars in braking.
Car 400 - This Class 1 car won 1st in its class and 2nd overall in braking with stopping at 9.75 feet. Won 1st in its class in maneuverability with having a time of 23.83 seconds. Won 3rd in design overall. In endurance this car won 1st in its class with 43 laps. We are very proud of how this Agm powered car performed today!
Car 402 - This Class 3 car won
1st overall in braking with stopping in an astonishing 6.92 feet. In endurance this car got 2nd in its class with 53 laps. We are very proud to say this car won both 2nd in the electrathon event and 2nd in the season points!
Car 404 - Despite some struggles with this class 3 car we finally got it to run for the last race! This car got 3rd overall in braking with 10.08 feet!
Car 405 - This class 4 car got 1st in it's class in braking with 10.58 feet!
Car 409 - This class 4 car got 1st in manueverability and also won it's class for endurance setting a new track record of 64 laps, Achieving a total of 40 miles in one race!
Documentation - Car 402 achieved 2nd for the season reports and Car 409 Won this season's documentation!
Overall Season Champions! - Car 402 placed 2nd in the Challenge USA season points and Car 409 Won the Season points with an astonishing 905.5 out of 925 points!

We had a very good second race at Road America.
Car 400: Our only agm powered car was able to achieve 4 laps.
Car 402: was able to achieve 7 laps and won 1st place in its class
Car 405: was able to achieve 7 laps and was 4th in its class
Car 409: was able to make a new track record of 9 laps and won 2nd in maneuverability and 1st in its class as well as being the overall event champion

November has been busy both in the shop and out. Between car shows, trunk or treat and volunteering we have managed to get an aluminum car rolling! It takes a village, thank you to our village of parents and sponsors. Without you , none of this learning would be possible. We love you!

The Prairie High School Key Club's annual Trunk-or-Treat event was a massive success this year, attracting over 800 community members. Featuring 27 creatively decorated vehicles, the club raised a record-breaking $1,238 for the local non-profit Together We Achieve. These funds will directly support essential food bank operations and community meal programs.
