🔥 CALLING ALL BUSINESSES & ORGANIZATIONS 🔥
Think your team makes a killer chili?

Eastern Iowa Arts Academy is looking for local businesses, nonprofits, schools, service organizations, and community groups to compete in our 2nd Annual Chili Cook Off on October 30, 6-8:30pm.

This is not an individual cooking competition. We want teams representing organizations in our community, having fun, showing a little personality, and battling it out for chili glory! It's a great way to promote your business, bond your team, and have a little fun and flavor in the process!

Team entry is just $50
Costumes are highly encouraged!!
Awards for Judges Choice, People’s Choice, and Best Costume

Proceeds support K-12 programming and financial aid at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy!

Space is limited, and registrations will be reviewed before teams are officially confirmed.

We have officially rescheduled our golf fundraiser event for October 26, which means two things: we still get our day on the course AND we now have even more time to add MORE golfers!

If you were already registered, we really hope you’ll stick with us and golf on the new date. Your support means so much to the Academy, and this event is an important fundraiser for the work we do with kids throughout our community.

If you weren’t registered before, now’s your chance! Grab a foursome, mark October 26 on your calendar, and come Chip in for the Arts with us!

We are currently looking for creative, dedicated, and kind volunteers to assist us for our K-12 Saturday Open Studio! Open Studio is a popular program held each Saturday from 10am-noon where students enjoy time creating with art supplies or play musical instruments in our art and music rooms with local artists and musicians. It is a wonderful chance for them to get creative and really enjoy the arts! We need a few fun and responsible adults to assist us with the kids by helping them find materials, clean up their supplies, and support them as they create their masterpieces!

A huge thank you to the Diamond V Donor Advised Fund of the Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation for supporting our North Star Studio Program and accessibility efforts at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy.

Their generous funding will help us purchase adaptive art tools, visual communication materials, wayfinding supports, and inclusive equipment that will be used throughout our building. These resources will help students with physical, sensory, and communication needs participate more fully, comfortably, and independently in creative experiences, making the arts more accessible for every student who walks through our doors.

Well… apparently Mother Nature is not an arts supporter. 😂

After what feels like an endless stretch of rainy days, Elmcrest has made the call to cancel our Chip in for the Arts golf event that was scheduled for Monday.

BUT we are not giving up that easily!

We have officially rescheduled for October 26, which means two things: we still get our day on the course AND we now have even more time to add golfers!

If you were already registered, we really hope you’ll stick with us and golf on the new date. Your support means so much to the Academy, and this event is an important fundraiser for the work we do with kids throughout our community.

If the new date simply won’t work and you need to request a refund for your foursome, please contact the office next week and we’ll take care of you.

But really… don’t do that. Come golf with us instead!
