Thanks to the support of CRCSF donors, a 6th grade Intervention teacher was able to purchase a Community Circle area rug for designated emotional/social regulation as well as classroom gathering time.

The Cedar Rapids Community School District Foundation administers funds designated for particular uses and those that can support a variety of school programs and projects. Most funds are endowed to pay annual awards from all, or a portion of, interest and earnings on the account principal. Donations to an endowed fund are invested in interest-bearing accounts or other growth-oriented investments.

Foundation Trustees serve as the governing body for fiscal and strategic direction, but they are also involved in multiple ways across the District. Trustee, Samantha McGrane recently coached Washington students through their 3DE Delta Case Challenge!

May's "Thank You" Moment highlights the impact of recognizing ALL the various career pathways by our seniors. Kennedy counseling staff says: "We had a great Decision Day Celebration for the Class of 2026! We are so proud of their accomplishments. Thank you to the Cedar Rapids Community School District Foundation for sponsoring this feel good event!"

SENIOR WALKS are here! Today through May 18, seniors are able to return to their elementary schools ... walk the halls one last time, give a final "thank you" to a favorite teacher, high-5 a kindergartner, and to receive applause for graduating. The Foundation loves to oversee this program each year. Well done Class of 2026!

Thanks to the support of CRCSF donors, elementary level teachers were able to purchase collections of board games to be used on rainy days when recess is moved indoors.
