The English Department is getting ready to honor our graduating seniors.

The English Department was saddened by the passing of our friend and colleague, Ann Struthers. She was a gifted poet, playwright, and memoirist who made a lasting impact through both her writing and her teaching. She will be missed.

The annual Ann Struthers Reading was held last week. Karla Silva, Reagan Boyken, Courtney Rhinehart, Maria Cargille, and Elliot O'Rourke read from their work. We were delighted that Ann could join us!

Congratulations to Jaimee Rindy ('19) for winning her first Emmy! She was part of the documentary team for CNN’s “Eating Planet Earth: The Future of Your Food” (CNN Special Report) — a documentary about animal agriculture & what comes next for food and our planet.

Congratulations to our Creative Writing seniors who read from their manuscripts last night!

It was a beautiful afternoon for PlayWalk yesterday. An audience of nearly 60 people enjoyed a lovely stroll around the Quad to see five original plays.

Our third and final night of senior readings took place last week. The readers were Luke Reynolds, Jane Callahan, Amber Sanders, and Daniel Kim. Congratulations to all of our Creative Writing seniors!

Tonight was our second round of readings by Creative Writing seniors. We heard work by Chinasa Menakaya, Emma Hodges, Gable Meade, and Olivia Griggs.

We're ready for the second round of senior readings!

Our first round of senior readings took place in November. Writers Marissa Arrigoni, Keena Ball, and Maiya Varner presented their work to an enthusiastic crowd. Look for more senior readings in January and February.
