Congratulations to these fine musicians and Mr. Langley!
This year, over 2,400 auditions were submitted state-wide for only 720 spots into Opus. We are so pleased to report that Regis Middle School will have 5 students representing us at Opus this year! Mr. Langford and our team are so proud of the work that all of our students invested in the audition process.
Natalie Fuller, Zoe Delgado, Bryce Gundacker, Samuel Banaszek, and Henry Lammers were all accepted!
In addition to being accepted, Samuel Banaszek has also been selected as a solo finalist!
Go, Royals!

We had such a great time at Future Saints Night last night! The high school kids did a great job of welcoming the 8th graders into their Band family, the 176-person combined band played great at pre-game, we loved watching the halftime show, and we were so proud to see our Regis alumni crushing it in high school band!!

Do you have a student singer who may like to audition for Iowa OPUS Honor Choir, a choir that highlights the most talented 5th-9th graders from across the state? Then consider signing your vocalist up for OPUS Honor Choir Camp, August 12-15 at St. Pius X school. Please register by July 15. See the attached flyer for more information!
It’s Concert Day, Royals! Just a few reminders for tonight:
6 PM - Jazz Band Photo in the gym (with instruments)
6:15 PM - 6th Band to Davies, 7th Choir to Diebold
6:30 PM - 7th/8th Band to Davies, 6th Choir to Diebold
6:45 PM - 8th Choir to Diebold
Thank you to those of you that have volunteered to bring refreshments for afterwards! There is a table in the gym for those.
Another thing to think about- if you haven’t had the chance to bring your MCO donations, we will be collecting at the concert as well!! Tables for those donations are outside of the gym!
All are welcome to come support the hard work of our music students!

Ready to cheer on Danika Klima and Ciera Wing at the IBA All-Iowa 8th grade honor band in Des Moines!
They were selected back in December through a challenging audition. Today they get to premiere a brand new piece of music composed for this group by the conductor, Darryl Johnson III.
Way to represent Regis, ladies! Congratulations!!
