PROMISES🌈
As much as we try keeping promises can be hard
8 years ago I set out on a journey because I made a promise to myself, to God and to my family that things would change for the better. I promised that if we started working as a family to get healthier in our thinking that our additudes, behaviors and communication would get better.
The truth is there have been a lot of ups and downs in the these past 8 years. I won’t say that all of our problems have been solved or that we were miraculously changed over night.
What I will say is that through some really tough moments that seemed impossible to get through we have gotten through. We have learned in some ways to overcome as a family through the good and the bad and the in between. The thing is we are still learning and growing and changing everyday. Im grateful for the promise that God gave me a long time ago and it is found in Revelations 21:4- And he will wipe out every tear from there eye and dealth will be no more neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.
So what is the promise? That God will get us through every time. He will wipe our tears and dust us off and get us going on that path again. This is how God asked us to love our families too. Help wipe their tears. Help them walk through things you see them struggling with instead of judgement and condemnation. Be there to remind them that this too shall pass.
