Teaching EVOLUTION yet?

Peacocks 🦚 are a great example of sexual selection! Males grow these extravagant feathers that are actually dangerous for them because predators can see and catch them better. But… if they can survive… these over the top traits get the ladies!

Girl peacocks 🦚 are thinking… man if you’re still alive you must be fast, smart, & strong to not have been eaten yet! I want my kids to be like that!

And there you have it!

FEMALES drive evolution based on THEIR desired traits and thus, SPECIATION can occur if the population becomes isolated 👍
