Traffic Tuesday 🚗
Each path in a roundabout has a purpose based on where you’re going.
Here’s how to read it:
Going straight? Stay in your lane and exit.
Turning right? Keep right and exit early.
Turning left or making a U-turn? Continue around the circle until you reach your exit.
One rule ties it all together:
always yield before entering and flow with the traffic inside.
Once you understand the paths, it becomes predictable — and much safer than a traditional intersection.

Roundabouts are simple once you break them down:
Think of it like a circle with one rule —
the cars already inside have the right of way.
As you approach: slow down, look left, and enter only when it’s clear.
Once you’re in, keep moving, stay in your lane, and don’t stop unless you have to.
And don’t forget — pedestrians always come first at the crosswalks.
Master this, and roundabouts become one of the easiest (and safest) parts of driving.

You can start driving by yourself once DPS processes your paperwork — whether that’s done at your appointment or submitted for you through a third-party provider.
