Well, Naumann families, if you haven’t already heard, I am sad to say that I am leaving Naumann. This year has been more than amazing, and I appreciate all the support you and your children have given me. I have been offered the amazing opportunity to open a brand new school in Liberty Hill as the art teacher next year. It is much closer to where I live and I couldn’t pass up the opportunity. My heart is broken about leaving Naumann because I do love it here so much. It is a very bittersweet feeling, but my room is cleared out and ready for the new art teacher, Ms. Stoeffer. She is going to be great and I know I am leaving the school in good hands. Thank you again for everything. But it is like I told the kids, “Don’t think of it as losing someone who loves you, think of it as gaining another person who will love you.”

5th grade has been working on making air dry clay TIC TAC TOE boards and they are looking so good so far. I can’t wait to show off their finished products. As you can probably tell, this activity is a huge process and we will probably be working on them until the last day possible. Shown in the pics is the set up of day 1 and day 2/3 for just one of my classes. Needless to say, I am exhausted! Totally worth it though!

4th grade sea turtle mixed media art started today! Fun fact: Sea turtles are one of my favorite animals! I even rescued a baby sea turtle once when I was a teenager growing up in South Florida!
