Sudden cardiac arrest doesn't only happen to older adults. It can happen to young, healthy athletes too.

When an athlete suddenly collapses, every second matters. Recognizing cardiac arrest and taking immediate action can make the difference between life and death.

Call 911.
Start Hands-Only CPR - Push hard and fast.
Get an AED and use it as soon as possible.

You don't have to be a healthcare professional to help save a life. Through CATRAC's Take10, you can learn the basics of Hands-only CPR in just 10 minutes and be better prepared to act when it matters most.

On the field, on the court, in the stands, or at home - be ready to be the difference.

šŸ”„ TX EMTF Continues Supporting Wildland Fire Response Across Texas

The Texas Emergency Medical Task Force remains actively engaged in wildland fire response operations across the state.

As fire activity continues, TX EMTF resources are positioned across Texas to help protect the health and safety of the responders working these incidents. Our teams remain ready to adapt and provide medical support wherever changing conditions and operational needs take them.

Additional EMTF resources have joined the response this week, reinforcing teams already deployed across the state.

We’re proud to serve alongside local responders mobilized through the Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS), Texas Division of Emergency Management, Texas A&M Forest Service, Texas Military Department, and our local fire, EMS, and emergency management partners.
