Lone Star Hoops is a basketball camp dedicated to the fundamental and technical basketball skill-work for boys and girls 1st grade- 8th grade.
A Lone Star Hoops Camp consists of technical and fundamental basketball instruction, emphasizing a fast-paced, intense, "circuit-training" effect for boys and girls. It is perfectly suited for all shapes, sizes and skill levels from the beginner to the aspiring "star of the court", and offers top instruction along with high-quality perks found in much more expensive day camps. ...AND SO IT BEGINS, AGAIN!...
going in to our 33rd year of camp fun and starting an exciting 5th decade of activity, what better way to get started than hitting that "big half-court shot" to get things rolling!
After Lone Star Hoops' first camp of the 2021 camp season (in Fredericksburg)--and our first Austin summer event in two years--it's good to be back in our home hooping grounds with
our 8th summer event at St. Dominic Savio Catholic HS!
Floor manager Coach Tim Kaman tries to lead the campers in to their lunch break with a one-shot try of his traditional "Meadowlark Lemon-Globetrotters" half-court hook shot.
If he hits it, EVERYONE goes to lunch a little earlier! As he has done so many times over the 350-plus camps hosted since 1988, he NAILS It...and the crowd goes wild!
