Established in 2006, Rising Stars Preschool in Cedar Park, part of the greater Austin metropolitan area, is a highly rated academic program for children from 12 months to 5 years of age. Our Part Time program hours are from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with Full Time program hours from 7:00am to 6:30pm. We also offer flexible Extended Care Hours before and after school to suit your needs. Our classes are av

ailable 2 (except pre-K), 3, 4, or 5-days per week. Our school year is from August through June with amazing, optional, full week Summer classes offered for the month of July! Our July Summer classes are taught by the same teachers you have come to know and love and are geared more towards Art, Cooking, Science, Creative Experiments, Discovery, Water, and FUN! Each week has a unique theme base and parents can choose to mix and match which weeks you want your child to attend. We feel this is a great opportunity to take some time to vacation with your family without being obligated to pay for full a month of tuition. Located in Cedar Park, Rising Stars is an Austin Preschool conveniently located near popular Northwest Austin family communities of Steiner Ranch, River Place, Canyon Creek, Blockhouse Creek, Grandview Hills, Avery Ranch, Buttercup Creek, Twin Creeks, Deerfield Creek, Leander, Crystal Falls, and Spicewood Springs. What an incredible few weeks of Summer Camp at Rising Stars! ☀️💚

We’ve been learning, laughing, creating, and making memories that will last a lifetime!

🐊 Once Upon a Swamp brought science and imagination together as our campers explored nature while diving into a world of fantasy creatures, magical adventures, and hands-on discovery.

🕺 Dancing Through the Decades took us on a trip from the 1950s through the 1990s! We talked about how fashion, music, toys, and technology have changed over the years. From dressing in ’50s style to creating peace signs and Game Boys, the kids had so much fun stepping back in time while learning about history in a way they could truly experience.

🧪 Sticky Icky Science may have been our messiest week—but it was also one of our most meaningful!

Sensory play is so much more than making a mess. Every time children squish, scoop, pour, stir, splash, dig, or explore different textures, they’re learning through their senses. These hands-on experiences help build brain connections, strengthen fine motor skills, encourage problem-solving, expand language, spark creativity, and even support emotional regulation.

We know not everyone loves muddy shoes, paint-covered hands, or slime on a T-shirt—but some of the greatest learning happens when children are free to explore without worrying about staying perfectly clean.

At Rising Stars, we believe childhood should be filled with wonder, curiosity, imagination, and yes… a little mess! Those sticky fingers and happy smiles are often signs of children who are building confidence, discovering how the world works, and making joyful memories they’ll carry with them for years to come.

Last week, we kicked off our Stars & Stripes Showdown theme, and our campers had an amazing time learning, creating, exploring, and working together!

Throughout the week, we focused on building teamwork, cooperation, communication, creativity, and confidence while introducing vocabulary such as teamwork, cooperation, challenge, celebrate, respect, courage, independence, relay, and victory. Every activity encouraged children to learn through play while making lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

The playground may look like just fun and games, but it’s also where children learn problem-solving, teamwork, creativity, confidence, and important life skills every single day.
Playground fun is about so much more than just play.

Through hands-on experiences like gardening and caring for plants, building friendships, sharing, taking turns, and working together, learning happens everywhere around us.

Our little explorers love discovering bugs, observing nature, asking questions, and using their imaginations outdoors. These moments help build curiosity, kindness, confidence, and a love for learning that will continue to grow for years to come.

Tomorrow we’re giving a big shout-out to someone very special at Rising Stars Preschool — Mrs. Linda Emery — as she celebrates her 18th year with our school! 🎉

Mrs. Emery is our amazing Lead Pre-K teacher, and for 18 years she has poured her heart into teaching, loving, and guiding so many children through their early learning years. Her patience, dedication, and kindness have made a lasting impact on countless students and families.

We feel so very lucky to have her as part of our school family, and we hope you’ll join us in celebrating and giving her a big shout-out for this incredible milestone! ❤️🍎

Over the past few weeks, we’ve been exploring the incredible life cycle of butterflies 🐛🦋

Our students have had the opportunity to observe each stage up close—from tiny eggs, to growing caterpillars, to chrysalises, and finally into beautiful butterflies. It’s been such a meaningful, hands-on way to learn about growth, change, and patience.

Today was especially exciting as our Bears and Owls classes released their butterflies! Watching them take flight was a special moment for everyone and a perfect way to celebrate all they’ve learned.

Our Frogs class had so much fun getting creative with tie-dye shirts! 🎨🌈
From twisting and folding to choosing their colors, this hands-on activity was about so much more than just making something cute to wear. The children explored color recognition and mixing, practiced fine motor skills while using rubber bands, and learned about simple science concepts like how fabric absorbs dye and how colors can blend together.
They followed step-by-step directions, made predictions about how their shirts would turn out, and practiced patience while waiting for the final reveal—which might have been the most exciting part!
We also loved seeing their personalities shine through in their designs. Each shirt turned out completely unique, just like them 💛
Now comes the hardest part… waiting to wear them! 👕✨

Spring is in full swing in our Pre-K classes 🌱☀️

Our students have been diving into all things spring by planting flowers, fruits, and veggies and learning every step of the growth process along the way. From putting seeds in the soil to watering and caring for them each day, they’re getting hands-on experience watching how things grow right before their eyes.

They’ve even been suiting up for the job—wearing hats to stay safe in the sun and gloves to keep their hands clean while planting. Along the way, they’ve been comparing different seed sizes and even dissecting seeds to see what’s inside. They’re also learning about the parts of a plant and what plants need to grow and thrive.

We’re checking on our seeds daily, and the kids are loving observing the changes. Some classes are already seeing results—we’ve even spotted roots starting to grow! 🌱

Today was egg-stra fun in our class! 🥚✨

Our kids put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test with an egg drop challenge. They designed and built their own contraptions to protect their eggs, then we dropped them to see which ones would survive!

There were so many creative ideas, lots of excitement, and a few cracked eggs along the way—but that’s how we learn! It was amazing to watch them think, build, test, and cheer each other on.

Hands-on learning at its best! 💛
