Our Black Diamonds went above and beyond to shower our Instructional Coach with love and appreciation this week! From the thoughtful surprises to the overwhelming love, they made sure she felt just how much she means to our HMS family. Her favorite moment? You guessed it… “GROUP HUG!!” 🤗

Our vertical team continues to invest in the hard work of planning and refining rigorous teaching and learning experiences for students. 📚➕🧠
Leveraging our collective expertise, along with learning from Taking Action: Implementing Effective Mathematics Teaching Practices and Building Thinking Classrooms, we explored a powerful question: How does a procedural versus a conceptual learning goal impact planning, instruction, and student thinking?
When educators come together to challenge ideas, deepen understanding, and focus on what matters most for students, great things happen. We’re grateful for the exceptional brainpower, collaboration, and commitment of this team as we work to create meaningful mathematical experiences for all learners.

As their reward, they voted for Mr. Barnes to be taped to the wall today, and they definitely understood the assignment! 😆 Thank you to everyone who contributed and helped make Week 1 a success.
