During MSB's initial days at TASA, we had the opportunity to engage with Superintendents, CFOs, and school leaders throughout Texas concerning the future of the SHARS program. The recent actions of HHSC have resulted in anticipated cuts to SHARS funding. Despite the anticipated cuts in SHARS funding due to the recent actions of the HHSC, MSB provided reassurance on how to mitigate costs, walked districts through the appeal process, and emphasized the importance of continuing the conversation at the legislative level.

Texas districts deserve the funding provided through the SHARS program, and MSB is committed to advocating for policies, practices, and implementation that safeguard Texas school funding in Medicaid. Our expertise and guidance provide districts with the tools necessary to navigate these changes confidently and secure the funding they deserve.
