Update: machine assembly is coming along. Fueled by Red Bull and raw determination it will eventually be ready to start testing and hopefully putting out some prototypes and customization services. Fun, not fun.
Hoplite Defense is more than a point-and-shoot training company.
We train our students to be proactive rather than reactive; to identify a potential threat before it becomes imminent; and to be as good at avoiding a fight as they are at winning one.

The Sig P365X Macro has very quickly won me over. I won’t lie, my first range trip with it left me with a little regret. It felt and shot great, but it didn’t do anything the gun I carried before could do under slow-fire conditions. Then I ran it hard, and boy that is exactly where this gem shines. You may have already heard that it ”shoots like a big gun,” and I can confirm that to be accurate, if not an understatement. It’s something you really have to experience for yourself to understand.

When the 3D models you bought and downloaded were trash so you gotta do it yourself. Gonna be a late one.

Only one way to learn that lesson. Get out and train in this cold s**t.
You don’t get to pick the arena, but you’d better be ready to perform when you’re in it.

I was bumping some Biggie and this song came on. I had a thought and figured I’d share:
“I DON’T SWEAT THE DATE..”
It’s not the date that matters, but what we do with it. Always be growing. Don’t wait for a new week, month, or year to pursue your goals, get after them now. Have the audacity to fail, the humility to learn from your mistakes, and the courage to keep moving forward. Falling along the way is as guaranteed as life going on; getting back up is on you. Hold yourself accountable and keep your standards high.
I have seen a coyote a couple of times recently, once while running and the other night while in the gym. I’m not sure if it’s the same one, but I’m not one to put much faith in coincidence anyway. My mom sent me an article and in it Brendan Blowers writes, “Coyotes are one of the most adaptable animals on the planet… One of the keys to a coyotes success is its fierce determination.” I take it to mean keep trying, not everything’s going to work, but keep trying. You can make of it what you will.
Happy New Year.

Aiming involves intention, understanding, and accountability.
Understanding what happens to a bullet as it travels to its target is essential to understanding where you need to point your gun to hit the target. Your point of aim and point of impact won’t always be the same. Regardless, you are accountable for every round you fire. You should know and do everything you can to ensure your rounds go where you intended them to go.

To you, from me. A recommendation under your tree. Train to a different set of rules.
