The Multiplication Board helps children build a strong understanding of multiplication through hands-on learning and repetition. It allows children to explore multiplication facts in a concrete and visual way.

Children use numbered tiles and beads to complete multiplication equations on the board. By counting and placing beads in rows, they physically see and experience repeated addition and multiplication patterns.

🔹 What Children Learn
• Multiplication facts and memorization
• Skip counting and number patterns
• Concentration and logical thinking
• Confidence and independence in math work

Using concrete materials makes math more meaningful and engaging for children!

🌿 On the Montessori Shelf: Scrubbing an Object

A simple but powerful Practical Life activity that children truly love—scrubbing and cleaning objects.

💦Purpose
To help children care for their environment while building independence, responsibility, and respect for their surroundings. This activity also satisfies the child’s natural desire for purposeful, real-world work.

💦How It Works
For this particular placemat scrubbing work, the child is presented with a tray that has a spray bottle with soapy water, a brush, and a dirty placemat.

They begin by spraying the placemat with soapy water, then gently scrubbing the surface using small circular motions. If needed, they may rinse the placemat to remove excess soap. Finally, they carefully dry the placemat with a cloth, ensuring it is left clean and tidy.

Each step is done slowly and intentionally, following a sequence of steps from beginning to end.

💦What Children Learn
🔹Coordination of movement and control
🔹Concentration and attention to detail
🔹Independence and self-care skills
🔹Responsibility for caring for materials and environment
🔹Sequence and order of steps in a task
🔹Pride and satisfaction in completing real, meaningful work
