Today was our last day of school at Cedar Lake Elementary! We started our day with worship, where students had the opportunity to praise and thank God for all the wonderful and amazing things He has done throughout this school year.

We enjoyed a fun Bible activity led by Pastor Giancarlo, participated in motor skills activities, and our 6-8 grade students helped clean the school gym. We also celebrated all May and summer birthdays together!

One of the special moments of the day was watching a slideshow reflecting on the many memories, field trips, activities, and blessings from throughout the year. A big thank you to Mrs. Thibert for putting the slideshow together for our students and families to enjoy.

As the day came to an end, Principal Kamran said goodbye to the students with prayers and a sad heart. Thank you to our students, families, staff, volunteers, and supporters for an amazing school year. We pray everyone has a safe, blessed, and joyful summer!

Our K-3 students had a wonderful time on their field trip to the Critter Barn!

Students learned all about “Food, Friends, and Fiber” through fun hands-on experiences and activities. They enjoyed meeting the animals, exploring the farm, and discovering how God provides for us through His creation. It was a day full of learning, laughter, and unforgettable memories!

Cedar Lake Elementary School had a wonderful time at our school picnic!

We enjoyed a delicious lunch together, and we are so thankful to all the parents and the Cedar Lake Church for generously providing the food and helping make the day so special.

The students had so much fun participating in games and activities including sponge and bucket races, three-legged races, balloon tossing, hula hoops, book-on-the-head challenges, and “Piggy Needs a Signal”! There were smiles, laughter, teamwork, and lots of happy memories made throughout the day.

A big thank you to our teachers and homeschool leaders for organizing such a fun and meaningful event for our students and families.

We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful Home & School team and supportive school family that continually supports our school events and ministry. Thank you for making Cedar Lake Elementary such a special place!

Our 8th grade class had an unforgettable class trip to Traverse City!

Students enjoyed an exciting stay at Great Wolf Lodge, explored the beauty of Sleeping Bear Dunes, and had a blast participating in indoor golf activities and other fun adventures together. From laughter and teamwork to making lasting memories, this trip was filled with special moments for everyone.
Most importantly, we were blessed to begin and end each day with devotionals from My Life Today, reminding us to keep Christ at the center of our friendships, choices, and experiences.
Thank you to our teacher/principal, chaperone, parents, and everyone who helped make this trip possible. We are grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and bond together outside the classroom!

Our K–3 students had an amazing time on their field trip to the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum!

From hands-on science experiments to creative play and interactive exhibits, our students explored, discovered, learned, and laughed all day long. It was wonderful seeing their curiosity and excitement shine through every activity!

A big thank you to our teachers, staff, parent volunteers, and the Mid-Michigan Children’s Museum for making this special day possible.

We are so grateful for opportunities that make learning come alive outside the classroom!

Last post

As part of their Bible Lab / Arts & Crafts class, our 6th–8th grade students worked on a special Mother’s Day project made with love and care. The students created handmade pillows by tying the sides together and carefully filling them with cotton to make thoughtful gifts for their mothers.

We are proud of the creativity, effort, and love our students put into this meaningful activity. We hope every mother feels appreciated and celebrated for all that they do each day!

Planting the Seeds of Faith!

What a beautiful evening we shared at Cedar Lake SDA Elementary’s Spring Program! Our students truly did an amazing job, each song, speaking part, and performance reflected their hard work, dedication, and growing faith.

Through the theme “Planting the Seeds of Faith,” we were reminded how even the smallest seeds, when nurtured with love and trust in God, can grow into something powerful. The program also highlighted the humble beginnings of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, showing how a small group of faithful believers grew into a worldwide movement rooted in hope and service.

Thank you to our students for shining so brightly, to our staff for their guidance, and to all the families and friends who came out to support. Your encouragement means so much!

We are so proud of our students and the seeds of faith being planted in their hearts.
