Announcements for Wednesday, October 7th
NJHS - NJHS applications are due to Mrs. Kuechenberg, Rm 105, by Friday, October 9th at 2:35PM. Late applications will not be accepted
PINK OUT - The third annual NJHS Pink Out Day will be Friday, October 9th. Students can show their support for people affected by cancer by wearing pink and donating $1. Teachers in first hour will be collecting money. All proceeds benefit the Northwest Cancer Centers Foundation. See flyer in Schoology or in the Main Office.
6TH GRADE - 6th Grade is sponsoring a PBIS Fundraiser for their end of year field trip. Order some HCMS spirit wear. See flyer in Schoology or in the Main Office.
CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP CLUB - Christian Fellowship Club will be meeting this Friday, Oct. 9 in Mrs. Lublow's Rm 454.
STUDENT COUNCIL - Student Council will be meeting Wednesday, Oct. 7th in the Media Center from 7:25 to 7:45am
🎮 E-Gaming Opportunity for HCMS Students!
We are excited to share a new E-Gaming opportunity through the Cedar Lake Boys & Girls Club for students in grades 5–8! 🕹️🎉
📅 Kick-Off: Monday, October 19
⏰ When: Mondays & Wednesdays | 3:00–5:00 PM
📍 Where: Hanover Central Middle School
🎮 Games: Rocket League, Minecraft (PC), Mario Kart & Super Smash Bros.
Students will have the opportunity to have fun, connect with others, and build skills in teamwork 🤝, creativity 💡, communication 💬, and problem solving 🧩. See flyer in Schoology or here in the Main Office.
WRESTLING - If you missed the Wrestling callout meeting today, the first practice starts on Monday, October 19th. It will be in the wrestling room at the HS and it will start at 5:30pm. Please make sure you are current in Final Forms and have a current physical on file. If you are not sure about Final Forms or physical, please see Mrs. Cordera, bookkeeper, here in the Main Office.
BOYS BASKETBALL - HCMS Boys Basketball will have tryout on Monday, Oct. 19th. 6th gr. tryouts is in the Aux Gym from 3pm - 5pm, 7th gr. tryout is in the Main Gym from 5pm to 7pm and 8th gr. tryout are in the Main Gym from 3pm to 5pm. You must have a current sports physical and Final Forms up-to-date to try out. Bring a water bottle and appropriate clothing and shoes. Once cuts are made, all players will not be able to enter back into the gym. Please have a ride ready for you att he end of tryouts. Information is here in the office.
PICTURE RETAKES - Please be advised that picture retakes will be on Monday, Oct. 26th NOT on Oct. 28th. If you purchased a package, please make sure that the package is brought back on picture retake day. It will need to be given to Inter-State on that day.
YEARBOOK - The time to purchase your 26/27 yearbook is now. Cost is $30. Don't miss out on having those memories! Information is in the Main Office and Schoology.
LOST AND FOUND - Please check out Lost and Found table outside the SRO office. Please make sure you are taking the item that belongs to you. Any item that is left on the Lost and Found Table at end of the day Oct. 9th will be donated to a charity.
8TH GR. WASHINGTON DC TRIP - ATTENTION 8th grade students and parents - 8th Grade Students and Parents - We have guaranteed the second bus, and all those who were on a waitlist are now confirmed and able to make payments! VOLLEYBALL - Good luck to our 6th gr. Volleyball Team as they travel to Kankakee Valley MS tonight. Good luck to our 7th and 8th gr. Volleyball Teams as HCMS hosts the LMSAC 1st Round tonight.
FOOTBALL - Good luck to our MS Boys Football Team as they host Grimmer MS tonight.
