The HH Pope Shenouda Coptic Orthodox Theological Seminary is based in Cedar Grove, NJ and serves the clergy and laity of the Coptic Orthodox Church in North America. Athanasius K. Farag, who holds a PhD in Patristics from Union Theological Seminary (Columbia University) in NY. Course are offered in the evenings during the Fall and Spring semesters.

By God’s support, we are pleased to announce our course offerings for Summer 2026! We are blessed to have Fr. Stephen Meawad, Ph.D. deliver the course “The Search for God: Ancient Wisdom and the Crisis of the Modern Self” for the first time!
We are also excited to have Dr. Essam Tony and Mr. Adly Bishai deliver courses this summer as well! More information will be made available in the coming days on the course schedules for Elementary Bohairic Coptic, Intermediate Bohairic Coptic, and Ecclesiastical Arabic.
