Our very first Poppin’ Pals is coming up on Friday, September 4th, and Kindergarten is kicking off the fun! 🎉

We’re looking for kindergarten parents, grandparents, or special grown-ups who would like to volunteer to help pop and bag popcorn for all of our Mt. Carmel students! 🍿

And the sweetest part? 💛 Your kindergartener will get to spend the first 15 minutes of the school day with you while you volunteer!

🍎💙BACK TO SCHOOL WITH APPLES! 💛🍎

There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a brand-new school year! As our halls fill back up with students, laughter, learning, and lots of new memories waiting to be made, the MCS APPLES want to take a moment to celebrate the amazing teachers who make it all possible. ✏️📚

We are so incredibly thankful for the time, love, patience, and heart our teachers pour into their classrooms and students every single day. The work they do reaches far beyond the walls of the classroom, and we hope these little back-to-school gifts remind them just how appreciated they are! 🍎

Here’s to a wonderful 2026–2027 school year filled with learning, growth, laughter, and plenty of Viking pride! 💙💛

The APPLES have already started planning fun activities for the upcoming school year. 😉
While we are on the subject of school (it'll be back in session before you know it!) we thought it might be fun to give one of our MCS families a chance to win an Amazon School Supply Shopping Spree!
All you have to do, is drop a picture in the comments of your family having fun this summer and add the names of your MCS kiddos to the picture. Then, you will be placed in a drawing to win a $100 amazon gift card to use towards school supplies ❤️🍎

We know how much money our fabulous teachers pour into their classrooms each year, so we like to help lighten the load. We supply a closet stocked with construction paper so they (and parents!) have one less thing to purchase! ❤️🍎

Field trips are one of the most anticipated days of the school year! We wish we could attend every single one of them. BUT since we can't- we found a creative way to join in on the fun!

Day #7
Did you know that our APPLES organization pays for the busing for one field trip a year per class?
This helps keep the cost of field trips down for our wonderful MCS families. It helps us feel like a small part of the fun! 🍎♥️

Can you believe there are only 7 more days of school? The year has flown by!
We feel so blessed that our organization gets to pour into our school, and we thought it would be fun to countdown the days we have left with some of our favorite ways of helping MCS 🩵💛

Day #8
Did you know that we supply each student in our building with access to monthly Scholastic magazines?!
That is approximately 8,500 magazines!
The teachers use these magazines to enhance their core instruction and to promote reading and student engagement. As an added bonus, the magazines come with a website filled with games, videos and additional teacher resources to support our student's learning 📖❤️
Sounds like a win-win for everyone!
