After winning Conference, hopes were high for what could happen at Sate Qualifying yesterday. The course was grueling with non-stop hills from beginning to end. Lydia Kearney placed well with a 34th place finish. On the boys’ side of things, the team finished 3rd. Our lone State Qualifier, Adric Schmitz, finished 3rd in the race. Other team member results: Isaac Dawson - 15th, Ethan L’Heureux - 21st, Jeremiah Steggall - 27th, Walker Laughridge - 47th, Keller Wilson - 52nd and Jonah Woolery - 57th. Up next is the State Meet in Fort Dodge, Friday, October 28th!

It is RACE DAY and it is a big one! Tonight our high school boys cross country team will run towards defending the conference championship title and bringing it home for the 4th year in a row! Our girls team, Lydia, has set some amazing goals too and keeps working towards crushing them!

It was an AWESOME night in Grundy Center for all of the runners. Personal records and season best times came flying across the finish line!
(I was so excited and running all over the course, I forgot to take pictures. I snapped a quick team picture at the end. Ethan had already hustled back to Valley to watch his sister at the volleyball game, so thanks to his mom, I included an action shot of him!)
