The University of Northern Iowa offers multiple exciting, affordable opportunities for students to earn bachelor's or master's degrees in community health fields. This includes a BA Degree in Public Health, with specialty areas in Fitness, Women's Health, Global Health, Community Nutrition and/or Environmental Health. Students may also earn a Minor in School Health Education, as well as Certificat

es in Global Health and/or Environmental Health. They can continue their education at UNI and receive a Master's Degree in Health Education in two years or less. Students graduating from these programs can work in a variety of community health settings, including county and state health departments, non-profit organizations, corporate wellness sites, hospitals, clinics, and outreach facilities. UNI faculty in the Public Health program have won numerous state and federal awards for their outstanding teaching, service, and scholarship. Many are recognized subject matter experts and well published nationally and internationally in their fields, and provide excellent mentoring to their students. The UNI Division of Health Promotion and Education also has an excellent reputation for receiving grants and contracts for applied research, evaluation, training, and technical assistance to multiple organizations locally, in the United States, and abroad on public health topics.
