Care β Challenge β Elevate.
That's our coaching theme for the 26β27 school year at CF CAPS β and it's exactly what our team is focused on during our work time together.
Here's the "why" behind it: our mission is to Prepare ALL Students for Their Purpose. Not some students. Not the ones who are already self-directed. All of them. And that only happens if we, as instructors and coaches, get the balance right: care enough to build real relationships, challenge our associates to stretch themselves, and provide the supports necessary to elevate them above what they thought was possible.
What makes this work different from a typical classroom is the environment we're coaching inside of. Our associates aren't turning in assignments to a teacher β they're delivering to real clients, on real timelines, with real professional expectations. That's the differentiator. It raises the stakes, raises the urgency, and raises what "good work" actually has to look like. It's not school. It's not a simulation. It's the real thing and that changes what coaching has to be.
So this fall, our team is digging deeper into what it means to coach to high standards inside that kind of environment: how to hold the line on expectations without sacrificing relationships, how to give feedback that builds ownership instead of dependency, and how to know when good coaching is happening in the room.
We couldn't be more proud of how our team is showing up for this work. The engagement, the honesty, the willingness to sit in hard questions about our own practice β that says everything about how much this team believes in the mission. Ten years in and we are still learning and growing.
Love this team.
