Celebrating our 10th Anniversary, CF CAPS is bringing student-driven innovation straight to the community. Join us as CAPS teams from across the Cedar Valley pitch bold ideas to reimagine The Mall at College Square — Shop, Dine, Gather.

📅 Tuesday, Sept 1, 2026
🕗 Morning Pitch: 8:00–10:00 AM with CF CAPS teams
🕐 Afternoon Pitch: 12:45–3:00 PM with CF and CV CAPS teams
📍 The Mall at College Square — Gap Stage & Main Hallway (near the theater)

Enter through the main entrance. Seating provided, but bring a lawn chair to be safe!

The 2026 Legacy of Learning Scholarship recipient is Prisha Tol.

Established by the Class of 1963 and supported by additional alumni classes, this scholarship honors their shared commitment to education and future Cedar Falls graduates. Congratulations Prisha!

Congratulations to our 2026 Lauterbach Memorial Scholarship recipients -- Abigail Mott and Trinity Juries!

Kenneth and Maureen Lauterbach were long-time residents of Cedar Falls who were active in the community and members of St. Patrick Catholic Church. One of Maureen’s dreams was to graduate from college, but she was never in a position to do so. It is the Lauterbach’s hope that these scholarships help others achieve their own dreams. Congratulations Abigail and Trinity!

Ronald E. Juhl CAPS Memorial Scholarship 2026 recipient is Landyn Backstrom.

Ron, Class of 1959, established this scholarship out of gratitude for the teachers who made an impact on his life. Congratulations Landyn!

Kristine Martinson & Family Scholarship 2026 recipient is Reese Michael.

Kristine was a lifetime resident of the Cedar Valley. She was a nurse and proud mother to her four children, all graduates of CFHS. Congratulations Reese!

Janelle Wilks Memorial Scholarship 2026 recipient is Dylan Kieffer.

Janelle was an entrepreneur who had a passion for running local businesses. She loved volunteering and serving as a role model for her daughters. The scholarship was presented by Janelle's family.

Scott Sterrett Memorial Scholarship 2026 recipient is Toby Nuese.

Scott, Class of 1987, served as a reserve officer with the Cedar Falls Police Department and was an avid runner, participating in 23 marathons. Presenting the scholarship are Scott's parents, Steve and Teresa.
