The Casa Montessori Board of Directors is excited to announce that Casa will be transitioning to the Family YMCA of Black Hawk County ! Even though the name will look different, we expect it to be an amazing program for your children!

Registration opens April 14th and spots are limited!

You are also invited to a ribbon cutting ceremony on April 11th at 11am. We would love for families to show their support and to come to be a part of this momentous occasion.

It was so wonderful to see all our Casa families at our improvised reunion.

So many happy memories! In this building Casa Montessori (founded in 1982) helped hundreds of children grow, learn, make their first friendships, develop important life skills, and enjoy working together and independently. We will miss this building and our school very much, but we will keep our wonderful memories and appreciation for our first school experience and our Casa community.

A special Thank You to Emily and Jake Drennan for coming up with the idea for this photo op and organizing it.

Calling all Casa Alumni (of all ages)! As you know, they will be tearing down the building that housed Casa for many many years. They are scheduled to tear it down next week. We are seeing if we can get as many kids, teachers, and parents together for a reunion photo on the front steps this weekend, Sunday October 2 at 2pm. Let us know what you all think! Please pass the word along to everyone you know.

Casa Families, with a very heavy heart I am informing you that our friend John passed away on Tuesday, July 19. Most of you did not know him but he was a kind, thoughtful person who lived at the church.
He kept the sidewalks clear in the winter, always woke up early to open up the school for us. He helped when we needed him and always had a song to sing.
He loved taking care of our rabbits on the weekends and Holidays. John took pride in taking care of the building and our school. I am so sad about our loss. There will be an article in the Courier about him and his story.
