It’s Holy Week!!! We will be celebrating a Seder Meal Thursday at 5:30 followed by Maundy Thursday Worship at 7. Friday our Tenebrae Service will be at 7pm. "United we stand, divided we fall" is a phrase that can be traced back some 2,600 years to 6th Century B.C. The first attributed use in modern times is by one of our nation's Founding Fathers, John Dickinson, in a song he wrote, "The Liberty Song." This saying had a resurgence in its usage following September 11th 2001. It is often used when someone is looking to inspire unity and cooperation. Together we can achieve greater success than we can alone.

Prince of Peace Lutheran Church has been providing Day Care & PreSchool education in the East Mountains for almost 30 years. We help children develop to their full potential physically, socially, emotionally, intellectually, and spiritually.

We are looking for both full-time and part-time childcare providers to help care for our wonderful students. We need mature, caring, and enthusiastic individuals to work with infants, toddlers, and preschool-age children in our Christian childcare center. Here staff engage children in activities that stimulate their cognitive, physical, emotional, and spiritual development. They communicate with parents, maintain an environment that is clean, organized, and safe, and work together as a team with fellow staff members. As students & parents return to POP Lutheran School this fall, they will notice that there are a few changes around campus. We are now a “Day Care & PreSchool” only. This gives us more opportunity to focus on the needs of our youngest students. We have moved some supplies and equipment, painted a few walls, and are building an entirely new curriculum and approach that keeps age-appropriate education and development front and center.

We look forward to changing and growing alongside our families as we adapt to this new model. We have introduced a new business system called “Sandbox” to manage our records and billing. This system is specially designed for daycare and preschool centers and will help us, & our families track their child’s needs, progress, and expenses.

We have also adjusted our rates to better meet our costs. Even though our prices have increased, they still are below the local average. Our new rates go into effect on August 1, 2020.

We are excited about the changes & and promise to continue to provide the very best of care to all our families in our East Mountain home.
