Our Pre-K kiddos in room 8 had a zombie/pancake party on Friday the 13th for Mrs. Tammy's last day. Mrs. Tammy has been team teaching with Mrs Kylee for the past few months to get hours for her CDA. She is an amazing Pre-K teacher and the kids have loved having her here. We will miss her a lot and hope she will come back and visit us! 💓

Fun painting with chalk paint. Our tots class had so much fun painting with chalk paint outside. Painting with chalk paint is such a great art activity and the best part is you can keep the mess outside! To make it mix 3/4 cup water, 3/4 cup corn starch, and food coloring.

Shaving cream sensory play with our tots class. The kids are using physical skills as well as science by mixing the paint colors. They are also using their sense of sight, touch, and sound. Some of them had so much fun making santa beards and saying "ho, ho, ho" 😆 Their teacher Miss Keely even joined in on the fun and put a beard on her face. Every day our kiddos are encouraged to explore, be goofy, and have fun.

Fun with bubbles! Our kiddos love bubbles and frequently ask for them. Blowing bubbles is such a great learning activity. It incorporates science, sensory, fine motor, and physical development. Not to mention it's a whole lotta fun no matter what age you are!

It's Spirit week at Discovery! Please feel free to dress up. Tomorrow is super hero day. Come dressed up as your favorite super hero and be ready for lots of halloween fun every day until Halloween!

Meet Miss Katelyn. She is one of our amazing toddler teachers. Miss Katelyn is going to SUU and comes in at 3:00 most days. These kiddos can sense when she is almost here and will wait for her at the door. When she gets here they all smoother her with hugs. The love they have for each other is obvious. We love you Miss Katelyn! ❤️

One of our assistant directors, Jenni, just celebrated her year anniversary with Discovery!🥳😍 Before she was at Discovery she was a preschool teacher at head start for 9 years teaching 3 to 5 year olds. She taught a few of our discovery kiddos there. Jenni loves reading, singing songs and having dance parties with all of the kids. She loves getting hugs from all the kids whenever she visits the classrooms. Her passion is building relationships with all the kids and making them feel loved and giving them a safe space to express their emotions. Her favorite thing about being a supervisor is watching her teachers grow and making sure they feel loved, valued, and appreciated. She loves her admin team and growing together every day as a team.

When Jenni isn’t at work she is busy spending time with her niece Ally, reading, organizing, doing yoga, cooking, and going on adventures with her boyfriend.

Our center Director, Laura, has been working at Discovery for 6 years. The position she was hired for was the infant and toddler teacher. The little ones worked their magic and she left her cosmetology career behind to become an Assistant and then the Director.
Laura cares deeply for her team and their growth. She takes pride in the quality of care that her team provides for the families and is dedicated to the growth of the company.
When Mrs. Laura is not at work you will find her taking her children to their sporting evens with her husband, taking early childhood education classes, spending time with her family outdoors, planning the next party or room remodel and teaching 6 and 7 year old's on Sunday.
Here is the next 6 years with the Northstar Preschool program.✨
