Southern Utah University was awarded funds by NASA to establish a statewide aerospace workforce hub.

SUU was one of seven institutions awarded a combined $10.5 million to strengthen and streamline state-based pathways for students into jobs in the aerospace industry, NASA announced Wednesday.

It starts here. Our helicopter students train in the Robinson R44 (as seen in the photo) and build turbine experience in Bell helicopters. But the goal has never been simply to learn how to fly our aircraft. It's to prepare pilots for what comes next.

Our graduates have gone on to fly aircraft ranging from A-Stars and Bell 429s to Chinooks, Skycranes, MD 500s, AW139s, H130s, and more. As we like to say, train for the career, not just the checkride. 🚁
